1) Agriventure allowance is to be negotiated between Host Placement and Trainee. Please be aware that during busy periods you mast be prepared to work longer hours than stated. This will be compensated with overtime pay or time off. Trainees are entitled to two days off per week, except in Japan where there is only one day off per week. 1) Agriventure Plus allowance is to be negotiated between Host Placement and Trainee. 2) AgriVenture Plus Allowance is to be negotiated between Host Placement and Trainee. However it shall be at least the net allowance set for AgriVenture Traditional. 3) The payment for the AgriVenture Plus programme is at least the minimum of Agriventure Traditional but varies with the Trainees education. The payment for the AgriVenture Plus Trainee can be fixed prior to their departure when a proper placement is found. Does the programme come with travel insurance?
Every AgriVenture programme contains a comprehensive medical and travel insurance policy that covers each Trainee whilst they are participating on an AgriVenture programme. Full travel insurance documentation will be provided to each Trainee, prior to departure.
Can I still apply if I have a disability?
Each application is judged on it’s own merits. If necessary, extra medical information may be required before your application can be processed.
What if I cancel, after paying in full?
If you cancel your programme or are not accepted as an AgriVenture trainee the following rules for refunds apply:
Full Refund:
If you are not accepted as an AgriVenture trainee your deposit will be refunded in full. If we cannot find a placement for you,
all payments will be refunded.
Partial Refund:
If you cancel due to a documented illness, you will be given a full refund less 5% of the programme cost.
If you are not accepted by the host country’s authorities, AgriVenture will charge a fee in relation to expenses.
If you cancel or are rejected because you gave AgriVenture false or incomplete information you will be charged a fee as shown below.
(Transferring to another programme will be considered as a cancellation).
Days notice before departure:
- More than 180 days 5% of programme cost
- 60 –180 days 10% of programme cost
- 30 – 59 days Programme deposit
No refund:
- If you cancel less than 30 days before departure.
Notice of cancellation and requests for refunds must be sent by registered mail to the nearest AgriVenture office.
How is my placement arranged?
The first step is to complete the AgriVenture application form. The next step is for you to attend an interview when we will go through the application process with you in person. This gives us the opportunity to confirm all of the details, help us apply for your visa and ensure we have a complete understanding of you and your preferred country and programme choice.
What are IAEA/AgriVenture responsibilities?
IAEA AgriVenture programmes are carried out subject to approval by relevant authorities. IAEA reserves the right to change travel plans and prices to reflect major changes in airline schedules and exchange rates.
IAEA is not responsible for:
- Changes in the programme beyond the control of IAEA
- The service of any hotel, aircraft or other conveyance used during the programme
- Any delay, loss or damage to baggage
- Any delays or accidents in connection with such services
- The airlines you travel with are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time you are not on board the aircraft
Rules and Conditions:
- Trainees must be aged between 18 and 30 years old at the time of departure.
- We are able to accept applications from people with various levels of experience however this will determine which programmes are available to you.
- You must have a current, full driving licence.
- AgriVenture caters for both single people and couples, without dependants, within the guidelines of IAEA.
- All programme prices include a deposit. Programme prices may be subject to change.
- Programmes close 6 – 8 weeks prior to departure, and earlier if sufficient applications have been received, or depending on the length of time required to obtain visas/work permits.
- Most programmes have a seminar on arrival or soon after arrival.
- It is your responsibility to get yourself to the international departure airport. For the return journey this may be a different airport to the arrival airport. (e.g. Brisbane but leave from Sydney)
- If the programmes offered do not fit in with the time you have available or you want to depart at a different time, please contact us anyway. We will do our utmost to put together a programme and find a host to suit your requirements.
